My morning ritual has been recently been shaken up by a newfound gym commitment and a budding passion for dog walks on the trails instead of the concrete jungle of mid-city.
The husband and I are the newest members of a local Crossfit. It’s been über fun lifting heavy and joining in the competitive spirt of the gym (I’m not going to call it a box… I never have and I never will.)
The call of the wild has been strong in me over the past few weeks so I finally pulled myself out of my predictable homebody routine and hit the local hiking trails. It was, as predicted, just the chicken soup my soul had been longing for.
Between the intensity of the early morning workouts and the restorative treks with my pup, I fuel up with some sort of yummy smoothie concoction. This one was my favorite so far!
Cinnamon Mocha Smoothie
1 banana
1 scoop chocolate vega greens protein powder
1 c. decaf iced coffee
2 Tbsp. cashews
1/2 avocado
1 c. ice
1/2 tsp. maca powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Blend!
