This smoothie is more like a milkshake than a smoothie. Which is great when you’re needing something sweet and indulgent without all the nasty ingredients of a typical milkshake.
Sip it by the pool or on a indian summer evening. It’s so delicious!
Banana Mocha Smoothie
1 frozen banana
1/2 avocado
2 dates, pitted
3 ice cubes
2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
splash of vanilla extract
1/2 c. cold brewed coffee
1 c. almond milk
1. blend it up!
This sounds delish! What does the avocado do for this?
It adds to the creamy “milkshake” texture AND it provides satiation. It’s a nutrient dense fat source which will keep you fuller for longer. Most smoothies are heavy on the sugar/carbs which leaves you feeling hungry a couple hours later.
