The theme of Day 4 definitely had to be exercise. I casually agreed to visit a local crossfit that morning and then realized I also had a Lean and Lovely training day with my husband later in the morning. So I did both. And yoga in the park. Needless to say, I was very tired (and hungry!) by the end of the day.
Left Coast Crossfit was my first stop in the morning. We had an excellent workout that consisted of double under practice (jumping rope, but with the rope passing 2x on each jump) and a metabolic workout listed below:
40 Overhead lunges with a 25# plate
30 toes to bar
20 deadlift burpees with 65#
10 Bear Complex (power clean, thruster, back squat, push jerk) with 65#
Like I said… I was tired. Not long after this did I head up to Dana Point for some yoga with friends.

After yoga, I drove straight over to Training Camp, for my kettlebell workout with my guy. It was relatively short… 3 rounds of kb deadlifts, cleans, squats, and swings with a sprint in-between.
In all this running around, I was certainly hungry by the time I got to work…. and pretty much hungry the rest of the day. I kept it clean though!
Clean Eats
Breakfast (post-crossfit): scrambled eggs, pico de gallo, roasted potatoes, and sautéed peppers from whole foods
Lunch (post-kettlebells): Hardcore Juice (greens with apple) from Thrive and 1 c. butternut squash, a hard boiled egg, and a chicken thigh smothered in Hemp Pesto
Snack: a customized Paleo Acai Bowl with hemp seeds and coconut flakes instead of granola (skipped the honey and dates too, added maca and kale)
Dinner: A gigantic plate of salad, grilled yams, and a burger
Unfortunately, I failed to do my meditation this morning…
but there’s always tomorrow!
