Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

So I know green smoothies are all the rage these days, but really, who doesn’t love a great orange smoothie every once in a while. Especially made with pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrot juice!

So bust out that can of pumpkin that never got used after the holidays and put it to good use. No one says that you can’t have pumpkin after Christmas. It’s not like the “white after labor day” rule. I actually don’t think anyone on the West Coast follows that rule. It must be just East Coasters. I digress… I think it’s a great idea to use pumpkin any old time you like. Especially when you need some quality carbohydrates after an intense workout!

This smoothie was originally brought to my attention by my best buddy, Lauren. We came home late one night and she had this delicious elixir ready to drink in her fridge. So we sipped them as we read magazines before bed.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

1 small avocado
1 small yam, baked
1 cup pumpkin
16 oz. carrot juice
1 Tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
pinch salt

  1. Blend and drink!

I haven't been making a ton of smoothies lately but this afternoon I was debating whether or not I wanted iced coffee and instead made this Banana Matcha situation. I think I made the correct choice.
1 frozen banana
1 heaping teaspoon Matcha powder
2 kale leaves
1 handful ice
1 c. almond milk
2 scoops collagen peptides •
Drizzle some almond butter on top for feels. 🌮🥑🌶🌮🥑🌶
Sometimes people say, "More isn't better, more is just more."
